Pakistan Army Continues Rescue Efforts in Flood-Hit Punjab Districts
The Pakistan Army has been actively engaged in rescue and relief operations across several flood-affected areas of Punjab since last night.
According to official security sources, army personnel are carrying out operations in Lahore, Faisalabad, Okara, Kasur, Sialkot, and Narowal, where heavy flooding has disrupted normal life.
Large parts of Kasur and Ganda Singh Wala, located along the Sutlej River, have been submerged as water levels continue to rise. Soldiers are using boats to safely evacuate people trapped in inundated villages and towns.
Among those rescued are children, elderly citizens, and women, who have been shifted to safer locations. Along with ensuring the safety of people, troops are also helping flood victims relocate their belongings and livestock to minimize losses.
To support the displaced population, relief camps have been set up jointly by the Pakistan Army and local district administrations. These camps are providing temporary shelter, food, and medical assistance to affected families.
Authorities have assured that rescue and relief work will continue until all vulnerable communities are safely evacuated and rehabilitated.
